Anke Automotive Electrical Systems (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in Changzhou, China.

2018

Our new logistics center in Kirchheim has been put into operation. The second production facility at our Frenštát branch in the Czech Republic has also been commissioned.

2014

AK AUTO ELECTRIC SYSTEMS INDIA Pvt. Ltd. was established in Pune, India.

2011

The parent company, Apparatebau Kirchheim-Teck GmbH, has obtained ISO/TS 16949 certification.

2000

A branch office, AK Frenštát s.r.o., was established in the Czech Republic. The first General Manager of the branch was Mr. Bedřich Raška.

1998

Transitioning from a component supplier to a systems supplier: modular trailer wiring harnesses, central electrical systems, and wiring harness assemblies. In collaboration with Neumann-Henneberg Engineering, sheet-contact technology was introduced in fuse boxes, initially applied to tour coaches and city buses. Door-contact sensors were developed for the sliding doors of panel vans. New manufacturing methods were adopted to implement lean production.

1992

The research and development of ABS plugs and electrical connectors originated in 1991, when trucks were mandated to be equipped with ABS anti-lock braking systems.

1968

A multi-stage preheating and annealing switch for diesel engines was developed, and over the subsequent decades, this product gradually became the company’s primary source of revenue.

1959

The first waterproof junction box designed for outdoor electrical installations was introduced and affectionately nicknamed the “Butter Box” by customers due to its distinctive appearance. This model remains in production to this day.

1937

The AK brand identity was unveiled at the IAMA Auto and Motorcycle Show in Berlin.
