Anke Automotive Electrical Systems (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Apparatebau Kirchheim-Teck GmbH, a renowned German manufacturer of commercial-vehicle electrical systems, set up in China. Leveraging the parent company’s century-long technological expertise in the European market, our company is dedicated to providing high-quality electrical connection solutions for customers in the commercial-vehicle sector. Our core product portfolio includes a full range of electrical connectors for tractors, ensuring stable power and signal transmission between the tractor and trailer. In addition, we have developed lighting and control-signal distribution systems for trailers, which effectively enhance road safety and compliance. Furthermore, our offerings such as main distribution boxes, cable connectors, and wire splitters form a comprehensive on-board electrical protection and distribution network. All products are manufactured in strict accordance with German standards or manufacturer-specific design specifications and production processes, and have successfully passed rigorous environmental and durability tests.

Based in the Chinese domestic market, our company is equipped to provide rapid response and customized development services to major OEMs and trailer manufacturers. Our solutions are widely deployed in logistics tractors, full trailers, center-axle trailers, various types of buses, construction machinery, agricultural vehicles, and specialized engineering vehicles. The German parent company, Apparatebau Kirchheim-Teck GmbH, is located in the Stuttgart metropolitan area. The founder of AK, Mr. Wilhelm Grimm, was born in 1876 and, in 1898, became the first local resident in the city of Kirchheim to own a Daimler-produced prototype automobile. Mr. Grimm’s keen interest in this novel mode of transportation laid a solid foundation for the eventual establishment and development of AK. In 1903, he established his own electrical assembly plant, and in 1918 he formally founded the “Apparatebau” company. Since then, AK has been dedicated to supplying a wide range of automotive electronic components to commercial vehicle manufacturers.
The company’s initial customer base included Daimler (Untertürkheim), Benz (Gaggenau), NSU, Maybach, Horch, and others; to this day, many of these companies remain key clients of AK.
AK’s product portfolio encompasses TÜV/ADR-certified electrical connectors in a wide range of specifications, high-current connectors, ADR-certified cable junction boxes, modular trailer wiring harness systems, wiring harness assemblies and injection-molded components, fuse boxes and central distribution modules, cable splitters, as well as external start switches, start-stop switches, diode and resistor modules, and high-voltage applications—extending all the way to fully customized, turnkey solutions tailored to customer requirements.
